Sunscreen, Before Its Too Late
Having visited the dermatologist made me realize theimportance of sunscreen. Sunscreens are products combining several ingredients that help prevent the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation from reaching the skin
Two types of ultraviolet radiation UVA and UVB damage the skin, age it prematurely, and increase your risk of skin cancer.
UVB rays cause sun burns while UVA rays penetrate deeper layers of the skin causing wrinkles, worsening pigmentation, sagging...Sunscreens protect you from these devastating skin issues.
SPF or sun protecting factors is a measure of a sunscreen's ability to prevent UVB from damaging the skin, SPF 15 filters out approximately 93 percent of all incoming UVB rays. SPF 30 keeps out 97 percent and SPF 50 keeps out 98 percent.
Why wear sunscreen?
1. Protects your skin from pigmentation and discoloration.
2. It held to protect your skin from aging which is several years of sun exposure.
3. The Sun is strong even when its not sunny out as UV rays can penetrate through clouds.
4. Protects from skin cancer.
5. Reduces exposure from harmful UV rays.
Some of the sunscreens that I love for the body is Nivea sun moisturiser and neutrogena ultra sheer body mist which is in a spray form and for the face I use the L'oreal and Vichy sunscreen, they are lightweight and do not leave a white film on the skin.
So, dont forget to lather on some suncreen and protect yourself from those rays :)
