Banana and peanut butter smoothie recipe

I absolutely love this smoothie. It's delicious, filling and healthy. Super easy to make too. Great as an after work out refresher since it contains heathy fat and is high in protein content it replenishes the body after a tough workout.

Banana smoothies make excellent breakfast, mid day snacks and hangover cures. They are not only delicious and convenient, they provide a wide range of health benefits. Bananas are a favourite ingredient for smoothies since they provide a cream base and go along with a variety of fruits like strawberries, pineapple, pears..

Health benefits of a banana: 
• Provides energy
• Promotes cardiovascular health
• Balances mood and brain health 
• Weight loss benefits - low calorie food. Each banana contains about 100 or so. 
• Supports immune system 

Ingredients: 
• 1 medium sized banana
• 1 tsp peanut butter 
• 1 tsp flax seed 
• 1 tsp honey 
• 1 cup of yogurt 

Method: 
Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Top with whipped cream and sliced almonds if desired.
