New Ways To Wear A Saree

The ethnic wear has bloomed to new silhouettes and cuts and new draping styles in terms of western attires that lets ladies to glam up to parties and occasions.

With my cousins wedding just around the corner, I've been hunting for sarees, lehengas and mehendi outfits! My knowledge on ethnic wear was nil, literally, I had no idea what to wear or the colour combinations that I should go with. Pinterest was the one and only savior on patters, color fusions and designs that helped me with what to wear for every occasion. If you are looking for ideas on anything be it, recepies, clothes of home decor pinterest is the only app you need, to figure it all out!
Anyhow, I desided to go for a silk saree for the wedding, a lehenga for the reception and a dhoti style draped saree for the mehendi. I love the idea of draping saree in different ways, traditionally draped sarees have now elaborated fancier looks by more, fancier drapes brought to the fashion industry by talented Indian designers such as Anamika Khanna, Nikhil Thampi, Tarun Tahiliani...who have transforms the traditional style to urban, sophisticated and elegant forms.
Draping it in a different ways definitely makes one seem a lot more fashion forward and gives you that hint of je ne sais quoi in your outfit.
